PACU NURSE Band 6WiltshireCompetitive Salary + Excellent support packageWE ARE PLEASED TO INVITE CANDIDATES TO APPLY FOR THIS EXCITING ROLE; ON BEHALF OF OUR CLIENT WE ARE LOOKING TO RECRUIT A BAND 6 PACU NURSE.Background: The successful candidate will be joining a brand new, state-of-the-art, surgical day case facility specialising in providing high quality procedures, medical treatment and outpatient consultations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated PACU Nurse to join the treatment centre with outstanding facilities, a fantastic team atmosphere and contribute to the excellent patient experience which the centre provides.Role:The ideal candidate will be motivated and hard working individual. You will ensure the efficient running of the Pre-and Post Anaesthetic Care unit outpatient and be responsible for co-ordinating the patient\'s journey admission to discharge ensuring that the patient\'s needs are met, integrating high quality care in the most cost-effective setting. You will ensure an efficient and effective service that meets the required standards of relevant regulatory bodies.Successful candidates:The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:•Knowledge and skills of acute surgical care provision•Up to date hands on clinical skills including phlebotomy, IV drug administration and performing ECGs•Knowledge of how to use Mallampati scoring system, Goldman Cardiac assessment and the American society of anesthesiologists scale, to be able to carry out a basic anaesthetic assessment •Ability to deliver high quality services within set budgets•Knowledge and experience of clinical supervision•Political and commercial awarenessEssential role Requirements:•Registered Nurse Level 1 with recovery or pre-assessment experience•Teaching qualification/ ENB 998 or equivalent•ECG and Venupuncture training / Competence•Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in acute care provision of which a minimum of 1 year has been spent undertaking pre-assessmentsPackage:•Competitive Salary + Excellent support package •Excellent working environment•Continuing training and development opportunitiesLocation: Wiltshire For more information regarding this role please do not hesitate to contact Independent Clinical Services for an informal conversation.Independent Clinical Services is working the capacity of a recruitment agency in relation to this role.
